What is AzCI?

The Arizona Center for Innovation (AzCI) is a technology based business incubator, supporting start-up companies that fall into the six technology industry clusters of Southern Arizona: optics/photonics, biotechnology and life sciences, information technology, aerospace, environmental technologies and advanced composite materials.

How does AzCI support start-up companies?

AzCI will provide business development consulting consisting of weekly meetings with AzCI management staff as well as an assigned mentor. Each company will be required to have one or more of its representatives (up to 3) in residence for a combined total of 10 hours a week. While in residence each company is responsible for furthering the development of their business.

The AzCI will offer the following office services to its client companies:

  • The use of office space and furniture
  • The use of secure phone services excluding local and long distance phone calls
  • High speed internet access
  • Access to photocopier, excluding the cost of copies
  • Access to fax, excluding the cost of long distance faxes
  • Administrative support
  • Mailing address, including mail collection and distribution
  • Shared conference room and presentation equipment (projector, screen) available

Note: Each company is required to provide its own computer equipment while in residence.

AzCI also has both wet and dry lab space available for its client companies.

How can my company join AzCI?
To join the AzCI, you will need to have a technology company in one of the six key technology areas supported by the incubator (optics/photonics, biotechnology and life sciences, information technology, aerospace, environmental technologies and advanced composite materials).
